"Post-2005 cars use soy-based insulation. Rodents target it.Six months wrapped, zero incidents."
"Found a mouse nest on the RV harness in March.Wrapped it with GROUP DMR tape. Opened it last week β clean."
"Competitor tape peeled in two weeks.GROUP DMR has been on eight months. Engine bay every week. Nothing."
How It Works β explained by Dr. Elias Vance
βRodents don't chew wiring at random β they're drawn to it. Since 2005, manufacturers switched to soy- and plant-based insulation, which to a rodent smells like food. That single change is why modern vehicles get hit so often.β
βOur tape attacks the problem on two fronts at once. First, an olfactory layer built around natural capsaicin masks the wire's scent and triggers the animal's hard-wired avoidance response β they retreat before they ever bite. Second, if a rodent does test it, the surface is loaded with denatonium benzoate, the most bitter compound ever recorded. One taste and the aversion becomes permanent.β
βUnlike poison or ultrasonic gadgets, there's no tolerance to build and nothing to recharge. You wrap the harness once, and the deterrent stays bonded to the wire through heat, cold, oil and moisture. It's the same principle behind OEM rodent tapes β engineered to be left alone and forgotten.β

Dual-Action Science
Two Compounds. Zero Escape.
Most tapes use one deterrent β and rodents habituate to single-sensory triggers over time. GROUP DMR uses two independent compounds, making habituation neurologically impossible.
Capsaicin
Derived from chili peppers β 100% natural, biodegradable, ROHS compliant.
Capsaicin activates the TRPV1 pain receptor β present in all mammals β creating an intense, immediate heat sensation on oral contact. The response is neurological, not learned. It cannot be suppressed by hunger or repeated exposure.
Denatonium Benzoate
The world's bitterest known compound β detectable at 10 parts per billion.
DNB holds the Guinness World Record as the most bitter substance ever identified. Rodents detect it at 10 parts per billion. The involuntary rejection reflex it triggers cannot be overridden by habituation, hunger, or repeated exposure.
Both compounds are micro-encapsulated inside the tape matrix β not coated on the surface. They cannot wash off, evaporate, or degrade. They activate only on contact pressure, releasing simultaneously, every single time a rodent attempts to bite.
Field-Proven Method
Application Map
Protect the highest-risk runs first, then expand outward. Here's the order the pros follow.
Clean & Dry
Wipe the cable surface with a dry cloth to remove dust, oil, and moisture. No special products needed.
Wrap the Critical Harness
Start at the engine-bay main harness and ECU leads. Overlap the tape 50% as you wind along the bundle.
Extend to High-Risk Runs
Continue to chassis undercarriage runs and fuel-system hoses, then finish trunk and door cable runs.
Press & Walk Away
Press the final end firmly. The adhesive bonds permanently β no tools, no reapplication, done in 15 minutes.

Safe by Design
Safety, Handling & Disposal
Responsible by default β non-toxic, ROHS compliant, and harmless to people and pets once applied.
Handling
No special precautions for normal application. Active compounds stay sealed inside micro-capsules and aren't released during wrapping. Washing hands afterward is good general hygiene.
Eye & Skin Contact
If adhesive contacts eyes, flush with clean water for 15 minutes. Skin contact may cause minor temporary irritation in sensitive individuals β wash with soap and water.
Children & Pets
Keep rolls out of reach before application. Once applied, the tape poses no hazard β compounds activate only by direct biting pressure. No animals are harmed.
Storage Before Use
Store cool and dry, away from direct sunlight. Optimal range 5Β°Cβ45Β°C. Shelf life is 2+ years from manufacture when stored correctly.
Disposal
Dispose per local solid-waste rules. PVC film and rubber adhesive are general waste in most areas. Do not burn. Packaging is recyclable cardboard.
Environmental Impact
ROHS compliant. Capsaicin is 100% natural, biodegradable, and botanically derived. DNB is used in approved safety applications worldwide.

Rodent Tape FAQ
Does this tape actually work, or is it just marketing?
GROUP DMR contains two independent active compounds β Capsaicin and Denatonium Benzoate β embedded via pharmaceutical-grade micro-encapsulation. Capsaicin activates the TRPV1 pain receptor; DNB is the Guinness record holder for bitterness, detectable at 10 ppb. Both activate on bite pressure. It's embedded in the matrix, not a surface coating, so it can't wash off or evaporate.
How long does the protection last?
Applied correctly, protection is permanent for the service life of the tape. Because the compounds are micro-encapsulated inside the PVC matrix, they don't degrade from weather, heat, moisture, or time β they release only when bite pressure ruptures a capsule. Shelf life before use is 2+ years.
Will it damage my vehicle's wiring or components?
No. It's a purely physical external wrap β it doesn't penetrate insulation, make electrical contact, or modify any component. The rubber adhesive bonds to the outer cable surface and is safe on all cable types, including high-voltage EV cables when used as directed.
Does it affect my vehicle's factory coverage?
No. It requires no electrical connections, no modifications, and no penetration of any system. An external protective wrap doesn't fall within the definition of an unauthorized modification, and standard auto insurance is unaffected.
Is it safe for humans, children, and pets?
Yes. Capsaicin is a natural botanical compound from chili peppers. DNB is used specifically as a safety aversive agent in products like antifreeze to prevent accidental ingestion β designed to protect, not harm. Both are ROHS compliant, and the tape doesn't off-gas under normal conditions.
What's the difference between 24mm and 48mm?
24mm is ideal for individual cables, thin wire runs, sensor leads, and tight spots. 48mm is for wire-harness bundles, larger pipes, and wider coverage. For a full engine bay, use 24mm on individual wires and 48mm on the main bundle. When in doubt, start with 24mm β it conforms more easily.
How many rolls do I need for a full vehicle?
Each roll covers roughly 10m net at 50% overlap. A standard sedan or SUV engine bay typically needs one roll for the main harness; two rolls for comprehensive coverage including chassis underside. RVs, marine, and agricultural equipment need three to five rolls depending on scale.
Can I apply it myself, or do I need a mechanic?
You can absolutely do it yourself β no tools or expertise required. Clean the surface, wrap with 50% overlap, press the end. The adhesive bonds immediately. Most full engine-bay jobs take 15β30 minutes, or any workshop can apply it as an add-on service.
Can rodents become immune or habituated over time?
This is the key advantage of the dual-action formula. Single-compound deterrents can lose effectiveness as rodents habituate. GROUP DMR uses two independent mechanisms at once β a rodent would have to simultaneously overcome both Capsaicin's heat response and DNB's bitter rejection reflex, which is neurologically impossible.
